Thanks again Aaron. About 12 years ago I found your lesson because I heard this great song by Needtobreathe and couldn't figure it out. (I'm not very good) Anyway, back then, I became a fan of the band and drove 100 miles to see them play in a small venue. Well, last night I had a chance to see Needtobreathe again in San Diego and they're still an awesome and uplifting band. My only regret is they didn't play this song (which is my favorite). I forgot how to play it. So, I'm glad and greatful you still have it available so I can relearn the tune. I'm getting pretty old, have cancer now, and playing and hearing this song just makes me feel good all over. Thank you again :)

Went down a rabbit hole on this song and this is one of the very few tutorials which is accurate to how they play it live. A lot of tabs and lessons on here dont de tune and play it as a b power chord. Thing is you can hear the b sting ring on the recording of the song, also when you watch live version you can see chad kruger using the shapes from this video

The intro /verse is four chords. You are missing the F# sus 2 in there which is the third chord. Also missing some of the embellishments john does. Good tutorial though.

THANK YOU!! I've been trying to play it in G (cause thats the only key I can sing it in) but the chords are RIDICULOUS in G when you get to the bridge! So playing it in E helps SOOO much!! And all I have to do is capo it to the 3rd fret to be able to sing it in G :D I also wanted to thank you for how well you explain things!! I really appreciate that! Keep up the great work!

I suffered a brain aneurism, my mom called both of my brothers and told them to hurry down to California if they wanted to say 'Goodbye' to me beFORE I die. "Your brother is in a coma right now, and they're trying to get him into UCLA Medical Center because of a new procedure by the neurologist Dr. Vespa," my mom said over the phone.
